The coast between Faro and Albufeira is the most visited with golden sands and lively bars, cafés and restaurants. On the central southern coast are the attractive stretches of Praia da Rocha, Praia de Alvor, Meia Praia and Praia da Galé. Beaches on the west coast tend to be quiet with few visitor services.
